Chuck E Cheese

We went Kyler's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Shae and I had been there a few months ago with some friends of mine and she suddenly became ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of the MOUSE. It was rather embarrassing....me chasing her as she is trying to escape out the front doors. Its a good thing they have it blocked! So she really wasn't thrilled about going to Ky's party because of the MOUSE. I kept telling her that the mouse wasn't real, it was just a person dressed up. She told me to have the mouse tell her that he wasn't real and then she would go. Well....the mouse came out to celebrate his birthday (every-other little kid was so excited to see the mouse)...BUT Shae. She was hiding under the table and was pale as could be. I was afraid she was either going to pass-out or puke up her pizza. After the mouse went back to his door....Justin asked one of the workers if he could show Shaelee the costume of the mouse or we might NEVER get her back to a Chuck-E-Cheese again. The guy took her back and showed her the mouses costume....head sitting on the shelf (which I think would have been even scarier to me) and she met the boy who was in the costume. (I know...I know, very strange scenario, but Shaelee's never been my "normal" girl! hahaha) The worker just asked that she not tell everyone that the mouse wasn't real. Well, for those of you who know Shae......she has told just about EVERY little kid that she has come in contact with since. So....I appologize now if she ruins the excitement of the mouse at Chuck-E-Cheese for anyone!

This reminds me of the Santa she saw at Christmas. It was actually my parent's neighbor bringing around their neighborhood gifts. We were all acted excited that Santa had come to see her, but she just had a look of pure uncertainty. When we got home to daddy, I told her to tell him who came to see her at grandmas house. She said, "Well.....it was actually just Damon's dad dressed up like Santa." Oh dear...no one had even told her that it was him, but she could see right through the costume, and the voice!
