Dad

The holidays are always an exciting time of year. I love the time that we get to spend with our family. My sweet dad has had some serious health problems the last couple of months. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer in September. When they removed his bladder they found that he had a fast moving cancer. The cancer showed up in one of the eight lymph glands that they removed. His PET scan that he had came back pretty possitive, but showed a couple suspicious spots on his lung (but could just be due to old age). Dad starts his chemo treatments next week. We are so lucky that things were caught when they were. If things hadn't of been taken care of when they were they said he could of been gone within 6-12 months. This Thanksgiving I have SO much to be thankful for. Sometimes I need a reminder to really see how much I have to be thankful for.

Sorry to hear about your dad - I'm glad they caught it early - it's amazing what modern medicine can do these days, I'm happy I know so many cancer survivors!
