(First off....excuse the side-ways picture---Im terrible at the editing process.....just turn your head side-ways!)
Where do I begin........maybe I will start about 2 years ago when my husband bought me a fishing pole and has since complained that I had ever used it. Well, we went camping this past weekend with some friends of ours. We went up Left Hand Fork Canyon. Justin and Josh had taken the dogs for a hike.....a very LONG hike (which afterwards Toby was not able to walk the next TWO days from having sores on all FOUR paws.....poor baby----have to say it was quite nice having him unable to pace back-and-forth or beg for food or anything else that involved getting out of bed for! But that's another story) While the boys were hiking, I decided to attempt to go fishing. I got my NEW pole out....had to take the tags off. I even put a hook on.....just tied a few double knots in it to keep it secure. I threaded the yucky worm on the hook (that kind of gave me the heevy-jeevies) and headed down the road with Jordan in his umbrella stroller, which did NOT move very well on the rocky road. I also had Shaelee and Tanner with me. I stoped at a couple fishing holes (or what I thought a fish might live in....I'm not sure anyone else would call them fishing holes!). At my third hole, I actually caught a fish!!!! And it was a KEEPER! Once I had it out of the water....I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it! I didn't have anything with me.....Tanner offered for me to put the fish in his backpack. Haha. I just did what I had to do to get back to camp with my fish----left it on the pole and headed back to camp. At one point the fishy was hanging in front of JOrdan's face! Lovely. Thanks to Heather we got the fish safely in the fridge. I thought for sure my husband would have been more proud of me than he was....but no, I think it was more of an annoyance because I caught a bigger fish than he did!
