So, my little girl didn't really get to enjoy Easter as much as she should have. The WHOLE day she was full of questions of the Easter Bunny. We had gone to an Egg hunt with her cousins and were on our way home when I decided to pick up some things from the grocery store. As we were checking out, we heard over the loud intercom, "Would the Easter Bunny please come to the front of the store." Hummmm....I have never seen a little girl jump SO high. I thought for sure she was going to jump right out of the cart! I calmed her down---reminded her that the bunnies you see at the stores are just people in costumes. After a few minutes of her examining the bunny she said, "Oh mom--you are right. He is just a person....I can see his skin on his neck." Then, came time to sleep. It wasn't going to happen! The thought of a BIG bunny coming into her house and leaving her a basket was completely unsettling to say the least. I was almost convinced that it might be better to just leave a note for the bunny and tell him not to leave anything this year. And Shae was pretty much with me on that one. That night before bed we had a visitor drop off a basket for us from the Easter Bunny. I showed her that the bunny had sent someone else with her basket. This was her exact reaction......"WHEW!!!" And minutes later she was sound asleep. Needless to say....the bunny did find our house and left her lots of nice treats, but he did not leave a trail---he knew that may cause more anxiety than it was worth!
MORE ANXIETY---Yesterday we took her to the dentist to have a lovely tooth pulled due to the cavity being rather LARGE on her baby tooth. Poor little thing was almost sick by the time we got there. The dentist put the gas on her---she liked the smell of it. Everything was going well until he went to deaden it. He first reaction was, "Oh yummy...it tastes like strawberries!" But was quickly followed by a couple screeches of OWEE. He got her deadened and came back to pull the tooth. She was ok at first.....then came cries of TERROR. The whole time the she was saying...."OUch, Oucheee, ouchee....." The cries continued even after the dentist was holding the tooth in his hand. He started to chucked and told her that he had already pulled the tooth out. Yes, yes....she is my DRAMA queen.
THEN....came the anxiety over the tooth fairy. Oh my goodness!!!! She asked me, "Mom, can I just put my tooth under YOUR pillow?" NOOOOOOOOOO. All is well today. Maybe the anxiety can rest for a day or two.

Oh, she sounds like such a little sweetheart. Reminds me of Braxton a bit, actually. Very concerned about the unexplainable things ...
